2007 ATP-WTA Tour Pacific Life Open - At The Indian Wells Tennis Garden - Day 3

Indian Wells, Monday – In the top half of the Men’s draw, unseeded Carlos Moya (ESP) dismissed Guillermos Canas (ARG)  6-4, 6-4. Canas, a lucky loser, sent Roger Federer (SUI) packing on Sunday.

Since the field has opened up, this could be a golden opportunity for Moya. He will turn 32 this year and is ranked #36 in the world. His next opponent is fellow Spaniard David Ferrer (ESP), ranked #15 in the world.

Rafael Nadal (ESP), the second seed and #2 player in the world defeated Fernando Verdasco (ESP) 6-4, 6-4. He will play another countryman Juan Carlos Ferraro (ESP) in the bottom half of the draw.

Andy Roddick (USA), seeded third, defeated Olivier Rochus (BEL) 6-3, 7-6(5). Roddick handled the difficult tie-break at the end with confidence and authority. He will play Frenchman Richard Gasquet next.

Andy Roddick and Rafael Nadal are heading for a collision course in the Semis.
